A truly halfassed St. John's preview

Ahhh mountaineer faithful, I write you this gray D.C. morning with just a touch of sadness...Juuuuuust enough to give it that pop. It's our last regular season game today, and hopefully it will serve as a good harbinger of what's coming in the Big East tournament next week.

Today at noon we play St. John's at the Garden. With an NCAA tournament bid possibly still on the line, our performance this afternoon is really going to dictate how the rest of March goes for mountie b-ball. Let's hope we play well. I haven't decided whether FKP is going to livecap or not, but hey...We'll surprise you. Same key strategies that applied to the Pitt game apply here: don't shit the bed on 3-pointers, play solid Huggy defense, and keep the free throw percentage at above 70% and we've got a chance.

As a quick aside, the b-ball Gameday crew is announcing their bubble teams right now via their favorite game: in or out. Hubie and Jay love us, but that crusty assface Digger Phelps still thinks we're out. Also: Kryzewskiville is the worst place in America. Fuck them.

Enjoy the conference tournaments on TV today, everybody. Maybe we'll see you back here at noon.
